“We met several times without knowing it. Emily was Matt's best friend's guest at accepted student weekend at Wash U. After college, Matt would go to Emily's lab to borrow antibodies for science experiments. We took the medical school admission test at the same time, but didn't know it. We finally me in a small study group in Medical school.” Matt- “My first impression was [that she was] smart, cute, and always late to small group.” Emily- “Matt was smart, cool, and very endearingly silly.”

When I arrived on site for the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding and even meeting them at OPO for their walkthrough, I could tell that family would be a big part of this wedding. Even Emily & Matt’s couples questionnaire stressed the importance to them. Jake and I showed up armed with the knowledge that the family narrative would be the through line for this edit.
