From their couple’s questionnaire:

Christina & Juan Manuel met on Bumble in September 2020, when Christina moved home with her parents (South Bend area) during the pandemic and Juan Manuel was at Notre Dame getting his MBA. Interestingly enough, they both graduated from Notre Dame & Saint Mary's in 2014, had mutual friends, lived in the same apartment complex down the street from one another, and didn't cross paths until 2020. They also both lived in Chicago and overlapped a few months. They joke about how they were always close [in proxy] but it took a global pandemic for them to meet - as Rihanna so eloquently once said, we found love in a hopeless place, during a hopeless time.
